Forget sleeping, just enjoy! I’m also excited for the fact that Raspberry Pi guys will be there and i’ll have a great opportunity to “feel” the project even closer 😉

Let the *fun* begin! 😀

Raspberry Pi OpenELEC latest PVR support (DVB-T)

Raspberry Pi Logo

OpenELEC build r12431 has already a nice media_build support, so you don’t need to add media_build support anymore. I’ve already updated my guide, so you won’t get all confused.

Download here the latest OpenELEC build to the moment (r13118).

RaspberryPi – OpenELEC Subtitles aren’t appearing

OpenELEC logo

I’ve updated to OpenELEC r12055 and noticed two things:

  • 1080p is now an upscale from 720p;
  • Subtitles aren’t appearing in 720p or 1080p.

I personally prefer to use 720p as the image quality is better, in the menus.
To fix the subtitles issue change to 720p, play a video and then pause it. Go to Settings->System->Video->Video Calibration . You’ll notice although you’re on 720p it will say 1920×1080. Correct the subtitle position and it’s done.
As a more simpler fix you can adjust subtitles position to Bottom of video.

Recently PVR  and RPi sub-projects were merged into XBMC master branch, thanks to Lars Op den Kamp and Edgar Huceke and many others. Here it’s how and what you need to have it working (you need to have network connectivity).
